This tantalizing dish coated with sugar syrup and crusty from outside but stuffed with mawa and dry fruits and with a clove on top is loved by all. This is often offered to Lord Jagannath.

In a container, sugar is boiled with water till we have a two-string sugar syrup. Keep warm on the stove. Tight hard dough is made with ghee and water. The dough is rolled in circles. Fold the three edges in to make a pocket and fill with a random mix of coconut, raisins and nuts and tiny pinches of nutmeg and elaichi. Close the fourth flap and anchor with a clove. Deep fry in oil on low flame. Dip in chasni. And drain. 

This is a good aromatic crispy dessert and can be store for more than 3 weeks in air-tight containers.

The packet contains 20 pieces along with divine nirmalya and idol of Lord Jagannath.
